ADXC: Fans choose the breakout star of 2024

Bringing some of the best athletes from Jiu-Jitsu, grappling, and MMA to compete in a cage under a rule set that favors aggressive play, it is no wonder that the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship has been a success ever since its first edition. Coming out of a memorable season in 2024 and currently preparing for an even bigger one this year, the organization understands that fight fans are eagerly awaiting its next explosive tournament and has decided to give the people the chance to relieve the thrills and choose the breakout star from last season, with Seilkhan Bolatbek coming out on top of the popular vote among three other contestants.

A Jiu-Jitsu brown belt fighting out of Kazakhstan, Seilkhan Bolatbek has used his submission-focused game to emerge victorious from two grappling bouts and is currently undefeated in the organization. His journey in the ADXC began in the third edition of the tournament, which brought the action to Brazil in March and featured the likes of Jansen Gomes, Beatriz Mesquita, Henrique Ceconi, and many other big names on the international scene. Surrounded by heavy hitters and tasked with opening the tournament, Seilkhan did not falter and gave his all in the match against Fernando Santos, deftly escaping a guillotine attempt and then quickly locking a heel hook in the first round to take the win and the first "Performance of the Night" award of the event.

With one astounding win under his belt, Seilkhan made his way back to the cage a few months after his debut, landing in Abu Dhabi to face Emad Ahmedin in the preliminary card of the ADXC 5 in August. With the tournament led by Urijah Faber, Rayron Gracie, Chad Mendes, and Pedro Ramalho, Seilkhan was once again among some of the greatest athletes in the game, but if there was any nervousness he certainly did not show it. After Emad pulled and tried to use his guard to trip up Seilkhan, the Kazakh athlete managed to get up, jump to the back, lock his legs, and quickly submit his opponent with a merciless cross face, ending the duel with a little over one minute of the first round and taking his second victory in the organization.

The other running candidates were the French Youness Bennouali, the American Emily Ferreira, and the Brazilian Rayron Gracie.
